A view from Devil's Backbone this morning. I've always felt that this wonderful feature of our local landscape should be preserved as a park, state or otherwise. Unfortunately, the roadside parking area is littered with memorabilia plastered onto the chainlink fence, more now than ever. I had to capture this view through one of the few suitable holes in the wire. Also, much of the former scout camp in this area is now captured for a housing development. On the good side, 530 acres is being preserved as a county park, Sentinel Peak Preserve, including river access, and scheduled to open in the summer of 2025.

Today this new website was born! I went out into the garden to see what flowers could be found as an antidote to several days of cold, clouds, and rain. There were more than I expected! There hasn't been a freeze yet, so many plants are still providing some color. Check out my YouTube channel for today's post.
