There were below freezing temperature for most of the night last night, with a low of 28, although a few places in the garden appear to have stayed warmer. Some plants suffered damage, some not. The Shrimp Plants will continue to flower as long as the temperatures stay above the low 20's (℉). I'm loving the Hairy Roger Cactus. The photo shows one on a recent misty morning. The chickadees like to pull off the hairs to line their nests.

Nice post! I like the bit about the chickadees at the end + about the Shrimp Plants. Nice website in the works, here! - Bruce

Today this new website was born! I went out into the garden to see what flowers could be found as an antidote to several days of cold, clouds, and rain. There were more than I expected! There hasn't been a freeze yet, so many plants are still providing some color. Check out my YouTube channel for today's post.
